Armed Missouri man arrested following standoff with DPD

A Missouri man was taken into custody following a brief standoff with Dyersburg Police. Jaden Wilburn, 19, of Hayti, MO, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of a handgun while intoxicated, and interference with an emergency call.

New changes to 2021 deer quota application procedures announced

Reelfoot NWR announces dates and application procedures for the 2021 deer quota hunts to be held on the federal refuge on November 5-7, and 12-14, 2021. Saddle Ridge holds Independence Day parade

To celebrate Independence Day, residents of the Saddle Ridge subdivision, located southeast of Dyersburg, held their second annual Fourth of July community parade. Many residents showcased their patriotism by decorating their golf carts, four-wheelers, motorcycles, ATVs, power-wheelers, and bicycles in red, white and blue. The parade route consisted of the streets located within the neighborhood.

Local races to be held celebrating life of Bart Williams
