Dyer County 4-H members chosen to go to 4-H Roundup

Crockett County man arrested for weapon, drug possession

Following pulling over a vehicle for an inoperable brake light and registration violation, a Crockett County man was taken into custody for illegal weapon and drug possession. The driver of the vehicle, Mitchell Shaw, 21, of Bells was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon while under the possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Local writer and educator Daniel Hooper will present a short film ‘The Hypocrites’ – written, produced, and directed by Hooper himself - on Saturday, July 17 at First Christian Church, beginning at 7 p.m. The short film was made and produced in Dyersburg and features local talent. The film is based off of Hooper’s spiritual-comedy novel entitled ‘Seven Days with the Hypocrites’...
