Dogwood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to host fundraiser

Dyersburg’s Dogwood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will host its fifth annual St. Jude Fundraiser Tournament which will take place at the White Squirrel Winery in Kenton on Saturday, Oct. 2. The entry fee for those interested in competing in the tournament will require a donation of at least $50. Tournaments will be held for both children and adults. Lady Trojans fend off TCA rally to win Invitational

AAA: TN gas price average holds steady

Canterbury Place resident celebrates 101st birthday

On Friday morning, Mary Cutler, a resident of Canterbury Place, received a special celebration for her 101st birthday. The staff and residents at Canterbury Place wished Mary a very happy 101st birthday with the birthday song, balloons, card, and cake. Canterbury Place will be celebrating all September birthdays on Wednesday, September 22.

West TN Greenwing event to offer wide range of activities and prizes

Dyersburg’s Goff receives award at water professionals conference

At the Kentucky-Tennessee Water Professionals Conference, held in Chattanooga in August, Mike Goff, City of Dyersburg’s Wastewater Superintendent, was announced as the recipient of the 2020-2021 KY/TN William D. Hatfield Award. The award is presented to operators of wastewater treatment plants for outstanding performance and professionalism.

Successful Newbern Depot Days festival draws large crowd

Two county schools recognized as 2020-21 Tennessee Reward Schools

Recently, the Tennessee Department of Education named all schools statewide who earned the 2020-2021 Reward School status. Dyer County High School and Fifth Consolidated were recognized as Tennessee Reward Schools.
