Only once had the Lady Choctaws lost in a full best-of-five match this season. Other than that loss to Collierville, Dyer County had only lost two other sets during a best-of-five match and those were in two separate matches.

City School Board hears CTE update, shown new smartboard demonstration

Morgan pleads guilty, Kelly trial date set in extortion case

On Wednesday morning, two local men appeared in court pertaining to extortion charges. As a result, Mark Morgan (DOB: 3/22/58) entered a guilty plea while Charles ‘Sam’ Kelly Jr. (DOB: 3/28/69), who was indicted on additional charges this week, had his case set for trial on February 17, 2022.

Gov. Lee speaks at GOP fall picnic

On Tuesday evening, October 12, the Republican parties of Dyer, Lauderdale, Crockett, and Lake counties hosted their annual fall picnic at Fyrne Lake. CLB OKs re-districting map, votes down resolution against federal vaccine mandate

On Monday, October 11, the Dyer County Legislative Body, in addition to numerous committees, convened in regular session at the Dyer County Courthouse. Committee meetings began at 5:45 p.m. with the full CLB following at 6:30 p.m. All commissioners were present with the exception of Steve Sartin.
