Gov. Lee introduces legislation for megasite special session

Today, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee introduced two pieces of legislation that will go before the Tennessee General Assembly during a special legislative session to address funding and oversight of Ford Motor Company’s historic $5.6 billion investment at the Megasite of West Tennessee.

DPD recovers unserialized rifle on church parking lot, responds to shots fired call

On October 16, Dyersburg police responded to a weapons complaint at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, located on East Court. According to the DPD, officers arrived to discover a large crowd on the church parking lot and street, many of whom who reported threats had been made to shoot up the funeral that was in progress.

Lady Trojans advance to region finals with 4-0 win

After playing to a scoreless tie for a half, the Lady Trojans made up for the lack of scoring in the second half with four goals to take a 4-0 win at Lexington and advance to Thursday’s Region 7AA Championship at South Gibson. With the win, Dyersburg also secured a sectional round game for the second straight season.
