Arts Council play set for next weekend

The Dyersburg-Dyer County Arts Council’s upcoming play, “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play”, is set to begin the weekend of December 3-5, with performances scheduled on Friday and Saturday (Dec.3-4) at 7 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. (Dec. 5). All showings will take place at the downtown Newbern Depot.

DSCC Foundation set to raise funds for students on Giving Tuesday

The Dyersburg State Community College Foundation will participate in the 24-hour Giving Tuesday 731 fundraising campaign in collaboration with The United Way of West Tennessee on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 30. Contributions will be accepted beginning at midnight, Nov. 30, until 11:59 p.m., but if donors give between the hours of 8-9 a.m. the Foundation has a chance of being awarded additional prize money, which will benefit the college’s student food pantries and emergency relief funds...

Trojan offense falters in semifinal loss to Eagles

Though the defense played well enough to keep the Trojans (12-1) within striking distance, Dyersburg’s offense was held to its lowest total of the season as East Nashville brought the black and gold’s quest for its first-ever trip to the state championship game to an end, as the Eagles won 20-7 in the TSSAA Class 3A Semifinal on Friday night in Nashville.
