On February 11, 2022, a Dyersburg police officer working traffic on East Court stopped a vehicle for violation of the noise ordinance. The driver was identified as Jody Floyd, 50, Dyersburg, and a passenger was identified as Brittany Copeland, 35, Dyersburg. Dyer County closes regular season with sweep of Crockett

The Dyer County Choctaws finished out the regular season with one final district road game against the Crockett County Cavaliers, who the Choctaws beat last Thursday at home. There were multiple ties and lead changes all throughout the contest and the Cavaliers even held the lead with just over a minute left. However, Dyer County was able to score seven times in the final 60 seconds of regulation to beat Crockett 67-61 in Alamo.

No. 8 Trojans fall to Rebels in season finale

A slow start by the eighth-ranked Dyersburg boys coupled with a strong shooting night by Obion County Central proved to be too much for the Trojans (19-6, 4-2) to overcome as the black and gold fell to the Rebels 58-40 on Tuesday night in Troy in the final game of the regular season.
