Kelly sentenced to 10 days in jail, 3 years probation

On Monday afternoon, March 28, the sentencing hearing for Charles ‘Sam’ Kelly, Jr., 52, was held at the Dyer County Courthouse with Judge Robert E. Lee Davies presiding. Kelly was indicted and found guilty by a jury on charges of theft over $10,000, conspiracy to commit theft over $10,000, extortion, and conspiracy to commit extortion. During Monday afternoon’s hearing, Kelly was sentenced to ten days in jail and three years of supervised probation.
