Lady Trojans fall to Covington

Dyer Co. resident arrested on additional indictments for tax fraud, theft

Two DCHS students selected to attend Governor’s School

Two Dyer County High School juniors, Brittany Hollis and Brayden Rouse, were recently accepted with a full scholarship to Governor’s School. Hollis will be attending the 2022 Tennessee Governor’s School for Agricultural Sciences at the University of Tennessee at Martin, and Rouse will attend the 2022 Tennessee Governor’s School for Emerging Technologies at Tennessee Technological University.

CLB reviews property tax report, OKs litter grant, budget transfers

On Monday evening, April 11, the Dyer County Legislative Body convened in regular session, along with the Budget Committee, to discuss various items of business including the 2020 Property Tax Report presented by Dyer County Trustee Nancy Broadstone. Other items on the agenda included the 2022 – 2023 Litter Grant presented by Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box, and budget transfers.

Dyer County dominates first game against Dyersburg

The Dyersburg/Dyer County rivalry continued on into the spring season for a District 13AAA matchup on Tuesday night in Newbern. The first inning was close with the Choctaws only leading the Trojans by one run. However, Dyer County unleashed a barrage of scoring with five runs in the second and fourth inning to finish off Dyersburg 12-2 in just five innings.
