One day, I was visited by a man with an exalted opinion of his creative thinking skills. He described his ability to generate idea after idea. Surely, he thought, businesses would respond to him as a paid consultant – essentially providing one-man brainstorms of multi-million dollar ideas...

Isbell addresses SRO rumor at city board meeting

The Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen convened Monday evening, July 18, for their regularly scheduled meeting. Business consisted of a review of bids and a resolution to take part in the TML Risk Management Pool ‘Safety Partner’s Matching Grant Program. Additionally, board members heard from a local resident who addressed the concerns from citizens within the City, and Dyersburg Police Chief Steve Isbell spoke to the board to address a statement, reportedly made by a candidate in the upcoming local election, alleging the police chief would remove SROs from Dyersburg City Schools.
