Dyer County resident Jack Clayborn came to the Election Commission this past week for early voting. “Mr. Clayborn, a 98-year-old World War II veteran who landed on the beach of Normandy at the age of 19, came with his beautiful 96-year-old wife to battle the heat Wednesday to cast his vote,” said registrar Karen Yeager. “He helped in the fight for our right to vote in this country.
