Kiwanis Duck Blast raises $20K for Kiwanis Park

4-H partners with U.S. Fish and Wildlife for 4-H club meetings

During the school year the Dyer County 4-H agent presents educational programs related to a variety of subjects. The subjects range from public speaking, teamwork, nutrition, agriculture, etc. During a typical month of 4-H club meetings, over 1500 students are reached. Students help prepare demonstrations or presentations, invite guests to share knowledge about their jobs, and officers conduct the meetings using parliamentary procedure. During the month of November the Dyer County 4-H program was honored to have Ms. Tara Dowdy present lessons relating back to wildlife.

Hall terminated as Chamber V.P. as investigation continues

The Dyer County/Dyersburg Chamber of Commerce has announced the termination of Chamber V.P. of Finance and Administration Tammy Hall as an internal investigation into questionable transactions totaling over $100,000 is underway.
