Lady Trojans bounce back to hand Crockett County first district loss

The Lady Trojans (14-10, 2-2) did what no team had been able to do thusfar in District 13AAA and ended the last chance for an unbeaten district team this season, handing the Lady Cavaliers their first loss in the district on Thursday night while avoiding some deja vu in the process, topping Crockett County 59-56 in the Terry Glover Gymnasium.

DFD responds to house fire on Harrell Ave.

On Thursday, Feb. 9, Dyersburg Fire Chief Brett Sipes said the department received a call regarding a house fire on the 800 block of Harrell Ave. The call came in at approximately 2:58 p.m. Dyersburg Fire Department was on-scene by 3:02 p.m. with 16 firefighters responding to the call. The scene was cleared at 4:39 p.m.
