DHS Cheer/Dance host Spirit Showcase; prepare for nationals

The Dyersburg High School Spirit Squads joined forces to “showcase” their student-athletes at the Terry Glover Gymnasium. The event, co-sponsored by the Dyersburg High School Competition Cheerleaders and Dyersburg High School Dance Team, allowed the unique opportunity to see the squads as they prepare for this weekend’s National Competitions in Florida. Joining them were the DMS Dance Team and the Junior Sparks and Youth Sparks from the Fine Arts Warehouse.

Gibson Electric addresses power outages

There are 105 Gibson Electric Membership Corporation members’ homes and businesses without power at this time. Crews are making good progress, but with 20 outage trouble locations, there is still much work left to do. Most of the repairs we're making are time intensive and restore service to smaller numbers of members. Thankfully, we have crews assigned to almost all of our remaining outages. They are working very hard to restore service to everyone as quickly as they safely can.

Lady Choctaws headed east

The Dyer County Lady Choctaws traveled to Somerville on Saturday evening to square off against Fayette-Ware with a trip to Murfreesboro and the state's big dance on the line.
