Dyersburg stays alive as Lawson, Byars win pitching battle with Obion County Central

Though both the Trojans and their opponents, Obion County Central, gave up a combined 32 runs a day earlier in opening round losses, Dyersburg and the Rebels battled for their seasons to continue on Wednesday as a pitchers battle between the third and fourth seed went down to the wire before the Trojans claimed a 2-1 win over the Rebels.

DCHS recognizes academic achievements during Investment in Excellence ceremony

On Wednesday, May 3, Dyer County High School recognized students for their hard-earned academic achievements during the Investment in Excellence ceremony. Opening the ceremony was Senior Class Vice President Brooke Buchanon. Senior Class President Seth Baker led the invocation followed by a Posting of Colors from the Dyer County JROTC. The National Anthem was performed by Audrey Harris.
