Kathleen Hope Chitwood of Dyersburg, TN, age 106, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. She was born September 20, 1916, in Dyer County, to the late Johnny Columbus and Hilda Collins Johns. She grew up in Dyer County and was a graduate of Newbern High School Class of 1933. Power Board OKs audit report, approves spec building resolution, and discusses TVA rate increases

The Dyersburg Electric System (DES) Power Board met Wednesday, September 20, 2023. During the meeting, the board discussed audit results, approved conditional funding for a spec-building at the Dyersburg Industrial Park, and was informed of the payment kiosk’s move from Dodge’s to Marathon on the corner of Parr Avenue and Parkview. The board also received information about TVA rate increases.
