Dogwood BJJ recently hosted its 7th Annual BJJ in the Vines event in Kenton, TN, raising $10K for St. Jude Children’s Research Center. The event welcomed a crowd of hundreds for a day filled with competitions from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu martial artists varying in age.

Local students attend WestStar Leadership Summit

Four students from Dyer County attended the WestStar Leadership Program’s 2023 FutureStar Leadership Summit on Sept. 12 at the Boling University Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin. The conference is for West Tennessee eighth-graders and is designed to help build leadership skills and instill the importance of education.
