Oct. 13-16 Bicentennial events celebrate Dyer County’s 200th birthday

After getting the month of October off to a championship start last Monday at The Farms by winning the Region 8A Tournament, the Dyersburg boys golf team will look to close their season this week with success in the program’s first trip to the TSSAA State Golf Tournament as a team.

Choctaws return from bye week to face Wildcats

With the end of the regular season approaching at the end of the month, the Choctaws’ bye week came at the right time for the Dyer County football team as the orange and white return from the week off to face Fayette-Ware in the first of three Region 7-4A games to close out the regular season.

Heading towards the end of the regular season with a slate of three Region 7-3A games on top for the remainder of October, Dyersburg gets its march to the playoffs started by finishing a three-game road trip on Friday night when they travel to Scotts Hill for the first time.
