Trojans return to turf for homecoming against Liberty

Coming off a second straight shutout on the road to close a three-game road trip, Dyersburg (8-0, 5-0) will be on the cozy confines of the J.C. Sawyers Stadium turf this Friday as the Trojans will celebrate Homecoming 2023 when the black and gold hosts Liberty (0-8, 0-5).

Coming off a homecoming win which saw the Choctaws even their regular season record at 4-4, more than just going over .500 will be on the line on Friday night as Dyer County hosts Obion County Central in the team’s third Region 7-4A contest of the season.

Lady Choctaw run ends with loss to Volunteer

Though the Lady Choctaws took the lead after the first set, Dyer County's volleyball team struggled to get any early momentum over the next three sets as the orange and white fell to Volunteer in four sets during elimination game action on Wednesday evening in the TSSAA Class AA State Tournament at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro.

Dot Foods presents a $20,000 donation to area food pantries

Dot Foods kicked off their Neighbor-to-Neighbor charitable program with a donation promise of $20,000, representing $5,000 to each of four charities who run food pantries for those in need. Dot will deliver the goods to them during the second week of November. The program having begun in 2014, Dot allows recipient charities choose food from its inventory in order to better suit the needs of each community.
