City not liable for vehicle damage when potholes are unreported, city begins repairs

After a week of temperatures in the teens, a fall of snow, and ice, as well as a week of hard rains, area roads are cracked, many littered with potholes. Some of the holes are small, but in many spots, there are multiple holes and cracks, making for bumpy rides. Some of the potholes are large and deep and have caused damage to vehicles. Unless the damaged road has been reported to the city prior to accidents, drivers are responsible for the cost of repairs to their vehicles.
