Reporting potholes to the city, county, and state; drivers foot the bill for their vehicle damages

On January 29, as reported in the State Gazette, Dyersburg Mayor John Holden stated that unless road damage has previously been reported to the city, drivers are responsible for any repairs to their vehicles caused by that damage. This aligns with state law and is mandated by the city’s insurance company, Equity Partners, which insures over 90% of the municipalities in Tennessee.

Patrons enjoy library’s “Soup to Go,” bring McIver’s closer to paying off its mortgage

The familiar smell of books at McIver’s Grant Public Library was replaced by the aroma of hot soup and other goodies on Tuesday, January 30. The “Soup to Go” event was sponsored by the Dyersburg Dyer County Public Library Foundation as part of a year of special fund-raising plans.

South Gibson surge leads to loss for Lady Choctaws on senior night

First Citizens National Bank sponsors Senior Crimestoppers program

With the help of First Citizens National Bank, local senior residents in Dyersburg live in a safer and even more secure living environment. The bank has partnered with the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation (SHCPF) for ten years, along with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Partners, to help vulnerable seniors by funding the Senior Crimestoppers program to protect those who live and work in local senior care facilities.
