Dyersburg soccer ties Bulldogs

Despite holding a lead for much of the game and even adding to it late in the game against Milan on Thursday night at J.C. Sawyers Stadium, the Trojan soccer team found itself on the disappointed side of a 2-2 tie with the Bulldogs as the purple and white visitors scored twice in the final six minutes to earn the tie with Dyersburg.

Legislators questioned about the “Freedom of Education Bill”/private school vouchers

Although various issues were discussed at the regular Legislative Coffee, held at the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce, the central topic was the “Education Freedom Act” bill coming up before the State of Tennessee General Assembly. The bill would allow for students who attend private schools to receive scholarships of up to $7,500 of state funds.
