Nearly 2,500 cast early votes in first eight days

Through the first eight days of early voting for the Aug. 3 state primary and county general election, 2,432 Dyer Countians had cast ballots.
The county has about 21,000 registered voters.
Early voting for the Aug. 3 election continues through Saturday with polls open at the county election commission office, 101 W. Market St. in Dyersburg. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. The phone number of the election commission is 286-4268.
