What did you think of Mary Winkler's appearance on the Oprah show last Wednesday?

Marilyn Driver

Fowlkes

"The interview might have come a little soon after her release from prison. But I believe that whatever she did was more or less for the kids. It sounds like her husband mistreated her."

David Kelly

Union City

"I don't understand the purpose of going on television and bragging about it. I didn't get a chance to watch the show, but I've seen clips of the interview and have read about it in the paper. There had to have been money involved."

JoAnn Kelly

Union City

"Mary's interview with Oprah probably made it harder on those kids."

Keesha Williams

Dyersburg

"I feel like Mary just did the interview for publicity. I think that Oprah asked all the right questions."

Tiera Smith

Dyersburg

"Mary's facial expressions and the amount of time it took her to answer Oprah's questions made me think that she was lying. Her responses looked fake."

  • I think if mary did it out of self defence on the nite of the murder then she should've been droped from all charges but going live on tv was out the question that just gave Oprahs show mores ratings.

  • Mary seemed to be under the influence of some sort of medication. There seemed to be an unusual amount of time between the questions that Oprah asked and the time it took Mary to respond. Either meds or she had to think hard at how she responded to the same questions in court.

  • Night of the murder? it was the morning and she shot him in the back as he slept. I do not consider that self defense. She needs to go back to the POKEY!
