Tennessee Weekly Livestock Summary for the week of February 18-23, 2019.

Receipts: 3,999 Last Week 4,865 Last Year 8,660
Compared to last week, feeder steers were mostly steady on a limited test, and
heifers not fully tested but a lower undertone was noted. Heavy rain hampered
demand and livestock movement throughout Tennessee for the week, and continues to
challenge producers due to muddy conditions. Slaughter cows were mostly steady to
2.00 higher, and slaughter bulls steady to 2.00 higher in a limited test. Moderate
to good demand was noted for slaughter classes.
In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 34 percent and heifers
approximately 48 percent. Feeder cattle over 600 lbs totaled approximately
31 percent.
