Northwest commodity announces July food distribution

Economic Council will distribute USDA Commodity Foods in Newbern on Thursday, July 11 at the Rescue Squad from 8 a.m. until noon. Later that afternoon, commodity foods will be distributed in Trimble at the Community Center from 1 until 3 p.m. Please bring your purple ID card with you.

Commodity foods will be distributed in Dyersburg on Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18 from 8 a.m. until noon at the old Dyer County School gym at 1400 Hornbrook St. in Dyersburg. Those receiving commodities should bring their yellow ID cards with them.

Northwest is still taking applications for commodities. It only takes 5 minutes to sign up for commodities and this can be accomplished by coming to 1400 Hornbrook St.

Also, there is still funds for utility assistance.
