Dyer County Schools to operate under Phase 2 guidelines for Aug. 10-14

Dyer County Schools announced Thursday afternoon, August 6, the system will operate under the Phase 2 guidelines for the upcoming week of August 10-14.

Phase 2 for county schools includes the following:

Pre-K-5th grade:

- Students will attend traditional classes on campus all day. Class sizes will be reduced.

- Social distancing will be practiced.

Grades 6-12:

- Students will attend traditional/remote learning on a rotating schedule.

- Students will wear a mask when in locations where social distancing cannot be practiced.

All Grades:

- All facilities will be sanitized and disinfected regularly.

- Students and staff will have daily temperature checks. If temperature is 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit-plus, individuals will be sent home.

- Buses will run and all students will wear a mask on buses.

- Meal times will be staggered and socially distanced.
