City of Dyersburg asks customers to reduce water usage through Monday

The City of Dyersburg is asking water customers to voluntarily reduce water usage through Monday, February 22.

In a release, the City stated, “As a result of the freezing temperatures the past 96 hours, the City of Dyersburg is experiencing reduced pressure across the water distribution system and is seeing reduced reservoir levels at several of our water tanks. The City of Dyersburg is also experiencing several broken water mains.

“In order to conserve the water supply for the greatest public benefit, the City of Dyersburg is asking customers to voluntarily reduce water usage through Monday, February 22, 2021.”

The City of Dyersburg will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates in the days ahead.
