Dyersburg man captured, suspected of Duncan’s Food Mart theft

A Dyersburg man, Larry Anthony Jones (56) was taken into custody by law enforcement. The Newbern Police Department (NPD) charged the suspect with theft under $1,000. According to police, the man allegedly stole merchandise from Duncan’s Food Mart on West Main Street, Newbern, on February 2, at approximately 7:46 p.m. Store surveillance captured images of the suspect and vehicle, and a call had been made through social and news media for help in identifying the subject.
