There are lots of folks out there, who think they'd like to learn to fly, particularly young folks, both male and female. But, they think it is too expensive. And, it is expensive, but so are many

other things that we might pursue.

There are great opportunities for help with the costs of becoming a pilot and l'd like to share some information with those who are interested.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) offers scholarships for students and teachers and the next round of scholarships opens September 9, 2024. I encourage an early pursuit.

The email address is: aopa.org/pilot and select AOPA Scholarships. There are nearly 23,000

students who are discovering aviation through their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Program.

The field of aviation is so rewarding and so very broad, there are many opportunities. It is

predicted that over 600,000 new pilots will be needed and near 700,000 new technicians needed over the next 20 years.

Just think, in learning to fly, you will have learned so many things: weather, navigation, theory of flight, hydraulics, engines and you will have met some of the nicest people on the planet, those who also love aviation! And, think about how far this new knowledge will take you in our world of technology.

It's up to you:-This could be the opportunity you've been wishing for. Give it a try!
