World's Greatest Cheese Ball

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

List of ingredients/quantities:

2 bars cream cheese (softened)

1 cup deli-sliced ham (finely chopped)

1 bunch green onions (finely chopped)

3/4 cup pecans (finely chopped)

2 Tbsp worchestershire

1 tsp Accent

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 garlic clove (finely chopped)

1/2 cup Mayonnaise

1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese (finely shredded)

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Place mixture onto a long piece of plastic wrap. Fold the plastic wrap around the mixture and begin to shape into a ball or log form, whichever is desired. This will keep your hands from getting messy and shape the mixture easier. When desired form is achieved, unwrap the cheese ball and place on serving platter. Surround with whatever type of crackers, chips or pretzels you prefer. Serve and enjoy! Always a crowd pleaser.

Comments/stories:

I have always had different types of cheeseballs but never one I'd have over and over. I decided to put my favorite parts together and this was the result. I first made this recipe for a party I was throwing at Halloween. I made tons of food, of all different varieties. This cheese ball was by far the ugliest thing on the table but it was the first thing we ran out of! I had piped a spiderweb design on the outside of the cheeseball with black cream cheese (colored with black food coloring.) Everyone thought it was the best cheese ball they'd ever had and I get frequent calls for the recipe. I thought I'd share this with the holidays fast approaching so it can be enjoyed with family and friends. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

I came up with this recipe on my own, compiling parts of my favorite cheese balls into one I could claim as mine.
