Fire destroys home

Dyersburg firefighters spent almost two hours extinguishing an early-morning residential fire, in the 400 block of Bishop Street on Wednesday. The fire, which was reported at 4:29 a.m., caused an estimated $25,000 in damage and was reported to have been started by an electrical short. The blaze destroyed the interior of the home and left partial damage to the outside.
