New retirement plan for Dyer County employees

A new retirement plan for Dyer County employees was approved by the county commission Monday night. Under the new plan, effective July 1, employees may contribute up to $12,000 yearly to a Section 457 plan which will be matched by the county up to 2 1/2 percent of pay invested for the employee in a 401A plan. Employees would control the investment of funds designated for them in both accounts. Some county employees already participate in a Section 457 plan without a match of their contributions...
