Grand Jury returns indictment for attempted rape

A Dyersburg man has been indicted by the Dyer County Grand Jury for attempted rape and sexual battery. Indictment was among 41 returned Monday by the grand jury and charges that Tom Curtis Dowdy, of 517 Christie St., had on March 13 attempted to force a woman to perform oral sex on him and on the same date touched the clothing covering another woman's intimate parts "for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification."...
