Work to begin on Pennell Lane

The Dyersburg Street Committee meeting Tuesday approved a request by the public works department to move ahead with plans to expand Pennell Lane at its intersection with Lake Road. Ken Ladd, city engineer, said it had become increasingly clear the intersection was unsafe as a result of the truck traffic entering and exiting from Kroger and other nearby businesses. Forsythe death ruled suicide

The Shelby County Medical Examiner's office ruled Tuesday the weekend death of Judy Forsythe of Dyersburg was a suicide, according to Steve Isbell, administrative lieutenant for the Dyersburg Police Department. Forsythe, 56, was found dead Saturday morning at her home. The body was transported to Memphis for examination in order to determine exact cause of death...
