Man jailed after DNA links him to burglary

A Troy man under arrest for property theft was linked to a 2003 burglary by DNA testing, District Attorney General Phil Bivens said Tuesday. Brian K. Clanton, 37, of Highway 183, Box 1404, pleaded guilty to charges of theft of property worth more than $1,000 and aggravated burglary and was sentenced by Judge Lee Moore to serve six months in the Dyer County Jail and three years of supervised probation...

Department head was suspended for sexual harassment

A Dyersburg city department head was suspended for a week earlier this month while allegations of sexual harassment were investigated. The charges were found to be "substantially true" by an investigation by city officials.
