RFW Construction Group was approved as contractor for the proposed Expect II building in the Dyersburg North Industrial Park by the Dyer County Industrial Board on Tuesday. The vote was unanimous to award the bid to RFW, which has proposed a guaranteed maximum price of $1,648,500 to design and build the 100,000 square-foot shell. Man charged with attempted murder of ex-girlfriend

A former Dyersburg man was charged with attempted murder in Alabama on Monday after allegedly smashing his ex-girlfriend in the head with a hammer. Steven McKinley Brasfield, 29, of Northport, Ala., is in a Tuscaloosa jail after he is alleged to have broken into the apartment of Nicole Wright, 33, on Sunday night and waited for her return.
