Donations sought to expand Forest of Dreams

The Dream Factory of Dyersburg hopes its Forest of Dreams will grow this year -- and you could help make that dream come true. The organization is accepting donations to plant additional trees in the coming months. The Forest of Dreams is a living monument to the chronically and critically ill children who've received dreams through the Dream Factory. It was established in 2002 on the campus of Dyersburg Middle School. Each of the 43 newly planted trees represented a "dream child."...

Doctor arrested for drugs

A former Dyersburg doctor was jailed in Jackson on Monday on charges of possession after a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation probe found more than 120,000 narcotic pills in his house. Kelvin Lynn Douglas, 53, is lodged in the Madison County Jail on a $200,000 bond after a task force of local authorities, TBI and DEA agents charged him with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver...

'Gang' juvenile assaults staffer during escape from detention
