Ridgely murder suspect indicted

A 37-year-old Tiptonville woman was indicted Monday on a charge of second-degree murder. The indictment against Melissa Louise Newsom of 222 Tipton St. was one of several handed down by a Lake County Grand Jury. Newsom is accused of murdering Charles McElyea, 68, of Ridgely, on Aug. 30.
