Laverne Smith, 91, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 at NHC in Dickson. She was retired manager of The Davis Shop in Dyersburg and also served as dorm mother at Swanee, Lambuth and All Saints Episcopal School. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Carmel Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Presson and the Rev. Judith Wolfgang officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
