Sara Lee raises $98,150 for United Way

Sara Lee's 2008 Dyer County United Way campaign was a record-breaking one with $98,150 contributed. The amount comprises the employee campaign, the company support grant and a contribution from the Sara Lee Foundation's disaster fund. Eight accused in Fowlkes meth ring

Eight people were arrested on Monday after a warrant service turned up a house full of methamphetamine and related materials in the Fowlkes community. Dyersburg police, accompanied by Dyer County deputies, attempted to serve an arrest warrant at about 11 a.m. for Brian Lynn Prater, 23, 323 1st Avenue, Evansville, for the December burglary of a gun.
