DCHS livestock barn completed with helping hand from state agriculture

17-year-old in custody as suspect in fatal shooting

A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody by Dyersburg Police investigators in Newbern on Thursday as a suspect in the Wednesday night shooting of a man on Maxey Drive in Dyersburg. According to Newbern police, the boy's grandmother arrived at the department about 1:20 a.m. Thursday with the teenager.
