Air base Veterans Day program draws servicemen from several counties

County body authorizes Hill to sign grant paperwork

The Dyer County Commission passed a resolution Monday night officially accepting the terms of a $722,918 grant for new sidewalks and lighting around Veterans Square. The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced the grant in August. Monday's resolution authorized Dyer County Mayor Richard Hill to sign any documents needed to get the grant started...

Second man pleads to bank and mail fraud, money laundering

City adopts phase one of 311 service

The city of Dyersburg recently became the first non-metropolitan area in the state to implement 311 service for its residents. Only the fourth city in Tennessee to provide the service, Dyersburg takes its place alongside Chattanooga, Knoxville and Nashville/ Davidson County and becomes the first city in West Tennessee to adopt the 311 calling number...
