At least eight persons were involved in a scheme to fraudulently obtain loans for alleged real estate purchases and the construction of 15 Krystal restaurants in West Tennessee. Man sentenced to prison for '09 bank robbery

A 37-year-old man accused of robbing First South Bank last summer has been sentenced to 160 months in a federal prison. Ladarius Melton allegedly walked into First South Bank at Green Village on July 6, presented a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed sum of cash. He led local law enforcement officers on a chase that was temporarily interrupted when the car he was driving collided with a house on Scott Street.
