20-year sentence given for drug charges

A Dyersburg man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for having 145 grams of marijuana and 23 grams of cocaine. Mariet L. Patrick, 29, 612 Peabody St., was convicted June 30 in Dyer County Circuit Court for possessing more than half a gram of cocaine with intent to sell, possessing more than half an ounce of marijuana with intent to sell and evading arrest in a motor vehicle. An additional charge of tampering with evidence was dismissed...

Ten injured in crash on Highway 78

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that occurred on Friday on Highway 78 that injured 10 people, requiring one to be airlifted to the Med in Memphis.
