The Tennessee Association for Administrators in Special Education (TAASE) recently selected Luanne Berry of the Dyer County School System as the winner of their 2010 TAASE Cup for West Tennessee. Newbern Police seek information on burglary

The Newbern Police Department is asking for the public's help in solving a burglary case they are investigating. Webb Brothers Masonry, located on Highway 211, has been burglarized twice within the last several weeks. A storage shed at the business has been broken into and several wheels and tires for a pickup truck and also wheels for a semi-tractor truck have been stolen on both occasions...

Woman pleads guilty to lesser charge in son's death

In Dyer County Circuit Court on Nov. 16-17: Konnor Walters, 2, died of a blunt-force trauma to the head on May 19, 2005. The defense suggested the injury could have been self-inflicted. Witnesses said Konnor tended to hit his head against the wall when things didn't go his way...
