County trustee office open Dec. 31 till noon

The Dyer County Courthouse will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31, but County Trustee Judy Patton doesn't plan to shut her office that day. The trustee's office will be open 8:30 a.m. to noon to accept Dyer County property tax payments. Property taxes don't have to be paid until Feb. 28. However, Patton said persons who plan to include the tax payment on their 2010 income tax returns must pay property taxes before the end of the year...
