Day of Games raises over $13,000 for library

House quarantined after drug arrests

Dyer County Sheriff's deputies made several drug arrests this week, which resulted in a house being quarantined on Campbell Brown Loop in northern Dyer County. Two suspects, Bradley Hawks, 34, 895 Old Fowlkes Road; and Emily Montgomery, 30, 3278 Campbell Brown Loop, were arrested and charged with initiating methamphetamine manufacture. A third suspect, James Riggins, 59, 3278 Campbell Brown Loop, was also taken into custody and charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture...

Humane Society board considers termination of county contract

The Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society board held a called meeting on Tuesday, May 29 to discuss what President Dr. Carol Feather described as "financial trouble". The meeting was called as a result of the Dyer County Budget Committee failing to grant a request for more funding to the organization, which provides animal control services to the county for a yearly contracted amount of $79,750. ...
