Cadets of the JROTC Program of Dyer County High School had a tremendous experience at Wendell H. Ford Reserve Training Center in Greensville, Ky. from June 3-7. The cadets did a wonderful job each day working with cadets from 10 other schools in the Tennessee area. Most of the other schools come from the Nashville area and east of Nashville, which provides a great opportunity for our cadets to learn ideas from others...

Bomb threat causes evacuation of building

An office complex on Cook Street was temporarily shut down on Wednesday afternoon after a bomb threat was called in. Dyersburg Police Capt. Steve Isbell stated a call was received in Dr. Kenton Busch's office around 3 p.m. from an unidentified person claiming a bomb had been placed in the building. ...
