Burn ban in effect

Dyer County's request for an open-air fire ban, submitted on Thursday, June 28, has been approved and remains in effect according to Dyer County Fire Chief James Medling. Medling told the State Gazette on Wednesday, July 11 that a determination would be made later this week, into next week, as to whether or not to lift the ban.
